Happy Holidays!
Yes, we realize that technically the holidays are only for two weeks, but we like to treat the whole month like a holiday. If being on holidays means that you are having fun doing what you love to do then we spend the whole year on holidays and we want to share that with you!
In This Edition
If you are not yet spending every day doing the things that you love to do then we encourage you to have a session with us. Giving yourself permission to live the life of your dreams is not a radical transition, going against the grain, giving up your security or any of the other conditioning that most people have been fed about pursuing their goals. All it is really, is a choice. With the help of hypnotherapy you will be able to see why people who meant well scared you away from your dreams. Most likely they were scared away from theirs and they learned that is what you say to keep your loved ones safe. After all their parents meant well and kept them safe. They are living proof that it works. And, it does work, just not the way you would like it to. So what if there was another option that kept you safe AND you loved what you do? It's a thought. Let us know if you would like to pursue it further!

Transition - What it is and why it matters?
Transition is the period of time that we are adjusting to, or changing some aspect of our lives, or ourselves. If you Google transition, or check the Webster definition you will receive the following.
"Passage- the act of passing from one state, subject or place to another"
"Conversion- an act that results in a transformation"
For examples in your life you can think of the change that you went through as you 'transitioned' from child to teenager, or teenager to adult.
Realize what other transitions you may have experienced already, such as going from being a single person to a married one, perhaps married to having children, even separated and divorced.
Chances are that you have changed jobs or careers from when you first started out. You could be working along the same lines, or doing something completely different. Do you remember the period in between changes when you were preparing for what was coming up?
Western society is always looking for the next step, for the start, for the 'seamless' transitions of these changes in our lives. For some changes society even manages the beginning period, pre-marital counseling, pregnancy classes, and job interview preparation.
But what about the period before an ending, such as divorce, job loss, or death. There may be a ceremony as a marker, but a ceremony is usually one occasion. What happens if it's not a smooth ride from one side to the other? What if instead of feeling exhilarated, you feel let down, alone, even slightly afraid.
You need time and sometimes guidance to help you learn and adapt new behaviours and thoughts to your changed lifestyle.
When a change happens, it's almost expected of us in our fast paced society to already know how to adapt. Most of the time we do this naturally, because humans are remarkably versatile. However, it can also strain our resources and lead to unnecessary stress. When this happens people tend to react from old habits, not always the most successful approach.
It is important to recognize that we can and do learn to adapt on a daily basis. Transitions can be successful and enjoyable, especially when we are able to release old limiting beliefs and habits.
